Significant tooth loss can take a serious toll on your daily life, making it challenging to eat comfortably and speak properly. However, dentures can replace several missing teeth or an entire dental arch, restoring full form and function to your smile. To meet our patients' unique needs, we provide both traditional, removable dentures and implant-supported restorations for superior security and stability. At Jersey City Dental, we use only the highest quality, most durable material to help patients in Jersey City, NJ, achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.
What are Dentures?
Dentures are natural-looking prosthetics designed to replace missing teeth. To address different levels of tooth loss, we offer both full and partial dentures. Partial dentures are appropriate for patients who have healthy teeth remaining in the upper or lower jaw. We recommend full dentures for patients who have lost all of their natural teeth, as these restorations replace an entire dental arch.
Traditional vs. Implant-Supported Dentures
Depending on your personal preference, we can design implant-supported or traditional removable restorations. While traditional dentures are secured in place using dental adhesives, implant-supported dentures are affixed to dental implants. Implant posts provide unrivaled security and stability, so you never have to worry about your restoration shifting out of place when you eat or speak. Implant-supported dentures can also:
- Improve your overall oral health
- Improve your ability to eat and speak properly
- Increase your confidence
- Provide you with more natural-looking results
- Provide increased comfort and a better fit
At Jersey City Dental, we can also connect traditional partial dentures to dental crowns, providing patients with a more affordable alternative to implant-supported restorations. Our knowledgeable team can help you decide what type of dentures will best suit your lifestyle and needs.

Materials We Offer
Typically, full dentures are made of an acrylic base and porcelain or resin teeth. Partial dentures generally consist of a gum-colored plastic base, porcelain teeth, and small metal clasps. However, we also offer DuraFlex™ for those who prefer premium, flexible partial dentures. These prosthetics are composed of a state-of-the-art thermoplastic material that is easy to adjust and provides superior aesthetics.
The Denture Process
If you decide to proceed with implant-supported restorations, we can recommend an experienced, conveniently located oral surgeon to place your dental implants. After you recover, we can take digital impressions of your gums using advanced CEREC technology. These 3-D scans will be sent to our trusted dental laboratory, where your custom prosthetic will be manufactured in a period of one to two weeks. Once your final restorations are ready, you can return to our office to ensure proper fit and color.
To make dentures an accessible solution for our patients, we offer zero percent financing to those who qualify. We also accept all major credit cards and insurance through:
